Industrial scenes for TAFE Queensland ‘Why Wait to Make Great?’ 2017 Summer Enrolment Campaign

We recently produced, propped, styled and shot over 40 industrial scenes for TAFE Queensland’s new campaign.

The imagery takes the viewer forward in time once a student has graduated TAFE training, out into authentic scenes in various professional fields.

Here are some select images from the campaign, which rolled out across outdoor, digital and social.

Fun in the Sun for Tourism Queensland

We were delighted to be approached to create new library images for Tourism Events Queensland and Brisbane Marketing. Spanning over 2 months our shoot took us to some absolutely stunning South East Queensland locations from Moreton Island, Lamington National Park and the Scenic Rim, to downtown Brisbane.

Our production crew worked hard coordinating the 49 talent, 36 location permits and 21 reschedules due to weather delays. With a 100 shot brief this project demanded our commitment to a smooth production process, particularly when coordinating locations with stakeholders in the tourism industry. Here are 14 of our favourites:

Live at Mary Lane

We recently produced the brand campaign imagery for Mary Lane, a residential property development in Brisbane.

Shot over two days, we worked with our client to create a story to tell how it feels to meet, dine, stay, live & play at Mary Lane.

The Gold Coast, a City on the Beach for Gold Coast Tourism and Tourism Australia

Tourism Australia_City on the Beach

Spent a nice morning on the beach for Tourism Australia via P’s in a Pod. This shoot was on a few month weather hold to get a classic Gold Coast cloudless sky, and true to Murphy’s Law, it rained and rained. Finally one winter morning, the talent braved 3 degrees and a 4am call-time and it all came together.

“Red Card” for Queensland Police via Brother and Co

Recently worked alongside TV production group The Producers and director Tristian Houghton to produce images to support the Red Card campaign for Queensland Police. There’s more about the campaign on mUmBRELLA

Everyone look out for each other out there, and stay safe 🙂

Happy Snapshot

I was on Stradbroke Island not long ago shooting an advertising project. Walking back to the car I saw these junior Surf Lifesavers walking on the beach on patrol. The colours of their uniforms and the perfect white sand of Stradbroke Island just punched me in the face! Luckily I was holding a medium format camera. I don’t even recall exposing I just lifted it, waited a second for them to walk into position on my frame and snapped! This shot really spells out summer in Australia for me. I wound up getting an honorable mention for it at the 2013 International Photography awards. Happy Dayz

City of Gold Coast

I recently worked with Jono Drapes and Simon Buutveld at Junior in creating some images for the City of Gold Coast to launch the Gold Coast Full Stop campaign.

We set out to make scenes that typify life in the city, from the hinterland to the ocean. It was personally special for me to be involved as I call the Coast home and have been able to watch it grow and develop into a great place to live.

You can read what B&T had to say about this campaign here

Thanks to the City Council and all the talent, as well as everyone at Junior plus the team of Michelle, Natasha, Kat, Nicole and Josh who helped pull this project together. Retouching was by the amazing Justin Overell

Australand “Be Swept Up in the Story” Campaign

We worked with the Melbourne & Queensland teams at Smart to put together a series of fashion-inspired images for Australand. Over 4 days we set out to tell an inner city story of romance, elegance, & timeless beauty with an urban feel.

Huge thanks to my producer Kat Cooke, the crew & everyone who worked tirelessly in the hot sun to make these images.

These are out now in outdoor media
